What is Diclofenac?

Diclofenac is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Other common NSAIDs are ibuprofen or naproxen. Diclofenac is one of the most widely used pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory medicines in the world. It works by relieving pain, and reducing swelling and inflammation.

Diclofenac is the active ingredient in all Voltaren products, which are available in oral (tablet and liquid capsule) and topical forms (applied to the skin). The diclofenac in Voltaren Emulgel works by penetrating deep through the skin, relieving pain, and reducing inflammation directly at the source.
